Q Qiyue Cai, M.A. (she/her) is a fifth-year Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Arizona State University, currently working on her clinical practicum at the SOGIA/EBT Center of Arizona. Q has previously trained at the ASU Clinical Psychology Center, EMPACT Trauma Healing Services, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where she provided evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, families, and adults affected by stressful and traumatic events.
Q has enjoyed this much needed work with those clients who have been deeply affected by stressful and traumatic events and will use evidence-based therapies. Her approach integrates third-wave cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT), including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. She takes a cultural humility approach and is committed to providing culturally sensitive care for individuals from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
In her free time, Q enjoys spending time with family and friends, crafting, hiking, traveling, trying new food, and taking her cat on outdoor adventures with a leash—yes, a cat that likes to walk with a leash!
