Parents of Gender Diverse Children, Youth, and Adults
The Parent Support Program (PSP) was developed by the EMpowerment Lab at Arizona State University presided by psychologist Em Matsuno. The PSP is an online, evidence-based, self-paced, interactive program aimed at increasing parental support among parents and caregivers of transgender and nonbinary children, youth, and adults. Program activities include interview videos, educational videos, writing activities, and other educational materials. Participants can choose which activities are most relevant to them.
We invite everyone interested in the program to complete a brief 3-minute survey before accessing the program to help us understand who is accessing the program, where they were referred from, and what motivates them to engage in the program. Participation is voluntary. Participants must be 18+ years and a parent/caregiver of a trans or nonbinary person interested in the program to participate in the survey. This study is approved by the ASU IRB.
